The Lounge is for working and emerging AD performers who take their craft seriously and want a consistent place to sharpen their reads, get feedback, and build muscle memory around what works in A.D. performance. If you value precision, pacing, and practice, you’re in the right room.
What’s included each month?
You’ll get:
Challenges: Four times a month, practice a scene from a movie or TV show: you’ll watch a video with an accompanying Audio Description script, along with a specific focus.
Coaching: One hour each month, live with Roy and the group. Step up to the mic with real reads, real feedback, real-time coaching, just like a session

What if I’m brand new to AD?
You’re absolutely welcome here, as long as you’re ready to do the work. This space isn’t about theory or endless research. It’s about putting reads into the mic and growing through reps. You don’t need to be perfect. You do need to show up and try.
Will this help me book more jobs?
Indirectly, yes, but not overnight. The Playback Lounge is about helping you build the skill that books the job. It’s about showing up prepared when your name gets called. This is performance training, not a marketing or business of AD course.
What makes this different from other voiceover memberships?
This is the only membership space focused exclusively on performance for audio description. No promo. No “general VO advice.” Just deep, deliberate work on pacing, tone, clarity, and context so your A.D. reads land with impact.
Do I get feedback on my reads?
Yes. You’ll receive guided opportunities to submit reads and receive feedback during live coaching or via community review threads. The focus is always on helping you improve, not just praise or critique for its own sake.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There’s no long-term contract. If it’s not the right fit for you, you can cancel your membership at any time. (But we think you’ll want to stay once you hear the difference consistent practice makes.)
